Weight Loss Wednesday: Drink Water

Hey everyone, this week my Weight Watchers membership got messed up so I am going to renew it when I get paid. So this week I don't know if I have lost or stayed the same. So I decided to discuss another weight loss tool. There has been lots of research to suggest that if you drink 2ltrs of water a day it will help you loose weight. We are made up of approximately 80% water and so keeping our bodies hydrated it will work at its optimum. Similar to the way a cars engine works. Water flushes out toxins and also suppresses the appetite. Many people mistake thirst for hunger and therefore eat but it makes no difference. Drinking water also makes hair more healthy, improves skin complexion and reduces spots.

2ltrs sounds like a huge amount to tackle but break it down. I have tried drinking it in glasses and never seem to get round to it. So I decided to try bottles. I bought a 1ltr bottle of Buxton mineral water, although I must say that I would not drink it again as I feel it had a chalky after-taste. I fill this with water and no added sugar squash or flavoured water. I manage to drink 4 of these a day which has obviously doubled the minimum amount.

I will keep it up and see what benefits I get.

TTC Tuesday: ICSI or Vasectomy Reversal

Hey everyone, its TTC Tuesday again. As I have said before we are not actively TTC now but after we are married. We wanted to get everything ready and keep our options open. I had to have 7 vile's of blood taken, they were then tested for all different hormone levels, glucose etc. It took about 2 weeks for all the tests to be done and for me to get the results. It came back that I am highly fertile and that I would have no problem having children but also confirmed that I have PCOS.

So as I mentioned we  have two main courses of action. To have ICSI or for Paul to have a Vasectomy reversal. We have to decide which path to take, although if we do the reversal and it doesn't work we will move in to ICSI anyway.

ICSI stands for IntraCytoplasmic Sperm Injection. Fertilisation is achieved after injecting a single sperm into each egg. Before all that I will have to inject my self twice a say for two weeks. This is called stimming or stimulating. After this I will have an egg collection. These eggs will be injected as aforementioned. After these embryos are watched for 5 days and transferred back into me at the optimum point. Then comes the ominous two week wait. This is exactly what it says waiting for two weeks to find out if we are pregnant. From there we have a few scans and hormone tests up to 12 weeks and then the pregnancy goes on as any other and the clinic has no more involvement.

A vasectomy reversal is the reattaching of tubes that were severed in a vasectomy. Paul had to have a vasectomy over 20 years ago for his ex wife. She had some problems and because the operation was supposed to be easier for him. He had always wanted more children but this now seemed impossible for them. So when we got together Paul told me how he wanted more children but didn't think it was possible. After a lot of research we went to both clinics and had our hope restored. With this process Paul has the operation and after 3 months he will go back to the clinic to have tests. If all is well we try for children naturally and pregnancy is the same there on in.

If we had a guarenteed choice we would choose the reversal, because that gives us the control. We are not limited to the amount of children we can have or when we can have them. The most important thing to us is to have children.

Marriage Monday: Found our Florist

Hey everyone, its Marriage Monday again! I am so excited to say we have finally found our wedding florist, and trust me she was worth the wait. We have spoke to over 15 wedding florists and only 3 of them got through to consultation stage. Ellie has amazing attention to detail, creativity, passion and amazing style.

We had our consultation at our Wedding Venue, which is nice as we can walk around and discuss where we would like to have arrangements and focal points. To be honest we love any excuse to visit our venue.

Ellie is so knowledgeable and professional she asked all the right questions and understood everything I was saying. We started off with my bouquet, I had never been asked about the size I would like. I have chosen a shower shape, it will be made up of roses in fuchsia pink and lilac. We then moved on to the bridesmaids and flower girls bouquet's, they will also be roses in a posie shape. We then discussed the men's button holes and if we would like guest button holes.

We have decided to decorate our church too. We think it is important for the church to look like there is a wedding taking place that day. We will have pedestals and pew ends all matching incorporating our focal flowers.

The reception venue will also have pedestals. The main room will have the Martini glass centrepieces, these will have pink linings and floral arrangements consisting of our focal flowers.

I have put pictures of our focal flowers below.

Hydrangeas are special to Paul as a good memory from is childhood as one of his relatives grew them in her garden.

We wanted two colours for our theme, one to be bright energetic and vibrant and the other to be simple, elegant and sophisticated. This rose is called Ocean song, I thought that was such a wonderful and beautiful name.

We love these fuchsia pink roses as they give a vibrant burst of energy and colour. Pink is one of my favourite colours and is a great wedding colour.

Fragrance Facts and June Beauty Favorites

Hey everyone, its Fashion and Beauty Friday! I have been asked to talk about fragrance. One of my favourite perfumes is Si by Giorgio Armani it is such an elegant scent.

The top notes of Sicilian bergamot, mandarin oil and liquer de cassis, Si has a feel of elegance and sophistication. The heart sings of sensuality and grace with rose de mai, neroli and Egyptian jasmine.Hidden beneath is a mis of beautiful chypre base notes of patchouli oil, woods, amber and Orcanox blended with the sweet animalic accord of vanilla absolute.

The next favorite is Redkin heat protection spray. It has a cling-film like effect on the hair, selaing it from root to tip. It both prevents and repairs split ends and protects hair from heat. I apply this after washing and conditioning my hair. I sprits it on and brush through with my tangle teaser.

Lastly is my Urban Decay make up setting spray. I apply this in X and T formations across my face after applying all my make up. It stops my make up from smudging, sweating or transferring. It is easy to use and lasts months.

Thoughtful Thursday: Ordain Women

Hey everyone this is my first Thoughtful Thursday, and I must warn you this is going to be a heavy topic.

As I have mentioned before, I have been brought up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am very grateful for my upbringing and believe it has made me the woman I am today.

I have always had strong opinions, and sometimes I struggled with what I though was fair or unfair. The hot topic on the internet at the moment is if women should be Ordained.

I am personally happy with the way that the church is ran and the position woman have in it. Women are greatly respected and highly regarded in the church. In the video below I express my views on this.

I have always wanted to be a wife and mother, that is what I feel the greatest success I could achieve. Paul and I are planning our wedding and after that we will focus on children.

If you have any questions or comments please leave them in the comments box.

Take care x

Updated Daily Themes and Weight Loss Wednesday

Hey everyone. As you know I am back with a new provider and new motivation. I have decided to update my daily themes as I was finding Throwback Thursday a little difficult. I have always hated having my photo taken and so there was very little to throw back.

For this weeks Weight Loss Wednesday I have decided to discuss my relationship with my weight. Anyone who has been overweight as a child is familiar with the various names and torment that I was put through at school. Bullies have no idea the lifetime effects of their hurtful thoughts and actions and those that do, don't care.

I have mentioned before that I have PCOS, which means weight loss is incredibly difficult. I have joined Weight Watchers Meetings and lost 5 lbs so far.

Is anyone currently on WW or have been in the past? Do any of you have a similar experience at school to me?

Take care xx

Update

Hey everyone. I am sorry I have not been blogging or vlogging for over a month but I was really ill and then once I had recovered, our internet provider failed us again. We are changing our provider, our TV gets installed tomorrow and our phone and internet installed on 30th.

I have put up a new video with 21 more questions to help you know more about me.
